Our Story

Every home in Swat had a Garwanj.

A handcrafted wooden rack, holding clay pots — each filled with something pure, essential, kept with pride. We built this marketplace in exactly that spirit.

From a problem we lived.

If you grew up around Swat, you know the truth: the honey, the ghee, the dry fruits sold online as “Swati” are mostly not. Real makers — families who’ve done this for generations — get undercut by counterfeits, while buyers overpay for fakes.

We were tired of it. So we built Garwanj: a marketplace where every single vendor is met in person, verified, and held to their word. Clear prices and maker stories. No mystery about where things come from.

What We Stand For

Three promises we don’t break

Verified, always

We physically visit and verify every vendor in Swat. If it carries our badge, it’s genuinely from Swat — guaranteed.

Fair to the maker

Transparent marketplace fees. Vendors keep what their work is truly worth, and you pay an honest price.

Rooted in Swat

We’re based here, we speak the language, and we’re building something lasting for our own valley — not from a distant office.

Valley we call home

Why Swat

A valley that makes things worth protecting.

Swat’s high-altitude forests, glacial water and generations of craft produce some of Pakistan’s finest organic goods — honey, walnuts, ghee, saffron, carved wood and pottery.

Garwanj exists to make sure that reputation actually reaches the people who make it — and the buyers who deserve the real thing.

Taste the real Swat.

Or bring your own craft to all of Pakistan as a verified vendor.
